More and more customers ask ChatGPT or Google instead of browsing results — and get a single answer instead of ten links. GEO makes sure that answer names your business. We prepare your content, data and mentions so AI systems understand, cite and recommend them.

The Floxa story
From invisible to fully booked.
You run a strong business, but nobody finds you online. Floxa builds your website — at a fixed price, live in two to three weeks. Ongoing SEO care then moves you up month after month. And the enquiries come on their own: through your website, through Google, as appointments in your calendar.
GEO — Generative Engine Optimization, also called AI SEO or AEO — is the next step in search optimisation: instead of optimising only for Google's result list, we make your business visible in AI answers — in Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Copilot. The rules differ from classic SEO, but they can be learned: AI systems recommend what they understand easily and find confirmed across several independent sources.
Quotable content
AIs adopt clear facts, not marketing copy. We phrase your services, prices and answers so an AI can quote them verbatim — with numbers, timeframes and direct answers to the questions your customers actually ask.
Consistent data everywhere
AI systems cross-check sources: website, Google Business Profile, directories, reviews. We make sure the same facts appear everywhere — name, location, services, prices. That agreement is what turns you into a citable source.
Measurement over gut feeling
Every month we ask the AIs your customers' questions ourselves: who gets recommended? Do you appear in AI Overviews? The report shows real AI answers — and how your mentions develop month by month.

What is GEO?
GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimization — optimising for generative AI systems such as ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot. The goal: when someone asks an AI a question your business is the right answer to, the AI should name your business — with your name, your service and ideally a link.
The difference from classic SEO is the outcome: a search engine shows ten links to choose from. An AI gives one finished answer — whoever is missing from it does not exist for that customer. Being somewhere on page one is no longer enough: content has to be prepared so an AI recognises it as a reliable source and adopts it.
Despite the name, this "geo" has nothing to do with geography — although the two work well together: local questions like "Which SEO agency near Ludwigsburg would you recommend?" are already answered with concrete company names today. Related terms such as AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), LLM SEO and AI SEO essentially mean the same thing.
Why GEO matters now
Search behaviour is measurably shifting. Classic SEO queries in Germany have been declining for months while searches around AI visibility grow strongly — "GEO optimisation" has nearly doubled within a year. Google shows AI Overviews on more and more queries: an AI answer above the normal results that intercepts clicks before they reach any website.
Starting now brings a rare advantage: most businesses — including most agencies — have not prepared their content for AI systems yet. For many questions the AIs fall back on thin or outdated sources. That gap can be claimed while it is still open. In two years GEO will be as standard as SEO is today — and the head start will be gone.
How an AI decides whom to recommend
AI systems do not invent their recommendations — they assemble them from sources they consider credible: your own website with clear, verifiable facts; structured data (Schema.org) that makes services, prices and location machine-readable; the Google Business Profile with its reviews; directories and comparison lists; and mentions in third-party content.
Consistency is decisive: when website, business profile and directories state the same facts, scattered mentions add up to a solid entity — a business the AI can safely recommend. When sources contradict each other or stay vague, the AI recommends someone else.
Freshness counts too: dated content whose age and last update can be verified is weighted higher than undated content. And the more concrete a statement, the more likely it gets adopted — "SEO support from €850 per month, cancellable monthly" is quotable, "attractive conditions" is not.
What we actually do for you
We make your content quotable: direct answers to your customers' questions, concrete prices and timeframes, clean structure with one statement per paragraph. On top come the technical foundations — Schema.org structured data for the business, its services and common questions, an llms.txt as a compact profile for AI crawlers, and dated pages whose freshness can be verified.
In parallel we build your presence beyond your own website: a complete, active Google Business Profile, consistent entries in the relevant directories, genuine reviews and mentions in sources AIs demonstrably cite. It is the same work that carries your local Google rankings — it pays twice.
With us GEO is not an add-on package but part of every SEO plan from €850 per month. If you want to see where you stand first: the visibility analysis for €250 includes the AI check — we document what ChatGPT and Google's AI answer about your industry in your region today, and who gets recommended.
GEO does not replace SEO — it builds on it
The AI answers from Google and Perplexity draw largely on the top search results; ChatGPT also uses web search for current questions. Ranking well organically is therefore the best starting position for being cited. The reverse holds too: without solid SEO foundations — a fast website, clean structure, local visibility — GEO has nothing to build on.
That is why we treat both as one job: SEO gets you into the sources AIs build their answers from. GEO makes sure the AIs pick you out of them. Sold separately it would be double the work at double the price — thought of together, it is one motion.
How we measure your progress
GEO can be verified — and we do it monthly, with the same tools we use for rankings. We ask the AI systems your customers' questions ("Who does … in …?", "What does … cost?") and document the answers: are you named? Who gets recommended instead? Which sources does the AI cite? We also check which of your keywords trigger Google AI Overviews and whether your pages are cited in them.
Honestly: mentions in AI answers do not appear overnight. First results typically show after four to eight weeks — for instance when new directory entries and reviews take effect. The picture becomes reliable over three to six months, in parallel with organic rankings. In return the effect is durable: an AI that once lists you as a reliable source recommends you again for every fitting question.

Common questions
What does GEO mean?
GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimization: optimising content and business data to be named and recommended in the answers of generative AI systems — ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Copilot. The term has nothing to do with geography.
Is GEO the same as AEO, LLM SEO or AI SEO?
Essentially yes. AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), LLM SEO and AI SEO describe the same discipline from slightly different angles: being visible when an AI gives the answer instead of a result list. GEO has established itself as the umbrella term.
What does GEO cost?
With us GEO is part of every ongoing SEO plan from €850 per month, cancellable monthly — not a separate line item. As an entry point there is the visibility analysis for a one-off €250, documenting what AIs answer about your industry in your region today and who gets recommended.
How long until an AI recommends me?
First mentions are realistic after four to eight weeks, once directory entries, reviews and the reworked content take effect. A stable picture builds over three to six months — similar to local SEO, and for the same reasons.
Does GEO replace classic SEO?
No — it builds on it. AI answers draw largely on the top search results and the same trust signals (reviews, directories, structured data). Good rankings are the ticket in; GEO makes sure the AI actually picks you from those sources.
Does GEO work for small, local businesses?
Especially for them. Local questions — "Who does web design in Ludwigsburg?" — are already answered with concrete company names, and competition for those mentions is still small. A well-kept Google Business Profile, genuine reviews and a clear website are often enough to get into the answers.
What is an llms.txt?
An llms.txt is a text file on the website that gives AI crawlers a compact, reliable profile of the business: who, what, where, at what prices. It does not replace a good website, but it makes it easier for AIs to adopt the facts correctly. floxa.de uses one itself.
How do you verify it works?
Monthly and documented: we ask the AIs the relevant customer questions and log who gets named and which sources are cited. We also check which keywords trigger Google AI Overviews and whether your pages appear in them. Both go into the same report as your rankings.
